「ZEPHYRCYCLE 手作り木製自転車木の世界に没頭して30年以上、シンプルなキャビネットからテーブルや椅子まで制作してきました。近年、偶然にも木製自転車という新しい挑戦的な分野を発見しました。それは木工、レジャー、生活、スポーツを融合させたものです。数年間の制作と研究を経て、私は多くの異なるデザインの木製自転車を創作してきました。現在、複雑さからシンプルさへ移行し、都市生活にふさわしい洗練された木製自転車をデザインしたいと考えています。乗る際に清風を感じ、ゆったりとした心地よさを味わえるような自転車です。 材料開発の過程で、さまざまな硬度の木材やヨーロッパで推奨される環境配慮型合板を試しましたが、最終的に竹集成材を採用しました。竹材を採用した主な理由： 竹は堅牢で成形しやすい素材であり、成熟期はわずか3～5年です。竹材は高い耐震性と曲げ強度を誇ります。竹は成長が早く、栽培過程での環境への影響が小さく、持続可能なエコ素材です。
Immersed in the world of woodworking for over thirty years, from crafting simple cabinets to tables and chairs, I recently stumbled upon a new and exciting challenge: wooden bicycles. This endeavor combines woodworking with leisure, lifestyle, and exercise.After years of crafting and research, I have created numerous wooden bicycles of different designs. Now, shifting from complexity to simplicity, I aspire to create an elegant urban wooden bicycle that evokes a feeling of gentle breeze and relaxed comfort while riding.In the process of material development, I have explored various types of wood, eco-friendly plywood advocated in Europe, and eventually bamboo composite materials.The primary reason for using bamboo:Bamboo is a resilient and easily moldable material that matures in 3 to 5 years. It boasts high anti-vibration and flexibility. Bamboo grows rapidly, with minimal environmental impact during cultivation, making it a sustainable and eco-friendly material.I envision Zephyrcycle primarily utilizing bamboo as the main material to develop a series of urban bikes, ladies’ bikes, and even E-Bikes, aiming to pioneer a new era of wooden bicycles.
